RENAULT LOGAN ECO²

Logan Renault eco² Concept made its debut appearance at the 2007 Michelin Bibendum Challenge in Shanghai.

At the Challenge, an event dedicated to sustainable road mobility, Renault once again proved that a car can be both ecological and economical without stinting on performance or customer requirements.

Logan Renault eco² Concept obviously meets the three Renault eco² criteria:

  • It is produced at the Pitesti plant in Romania, ISO 14001 certified since 2005.
  • It includes 8.3% recycled plastic and is 95% recoverable by mass.
  • It was developed to emit just 97 g/km of CO2 (NEDC combined cycle homologation).

Remarkable performance in Shanghai

Focus on the technical specifications of Logan eco² Concept

A range of technical optimizations and the eco-driving style of the driver (assisted by the “gearshift indicator” function) enabled the Logan Renault eco² Concept to cover the 172.20 km of the Bibendum Challenge on just 4.69 liters of diesel fuel. This averages out to fuel consumption of 2.72 l/100 km for 71 g/km of CO2 emissions!

At the end of the rally, the vehicles were ranked on the following criteria: an acceleration test, a slalom test, noise emissions and a regularity run. Logan Renault eco2 Concept came second out of the 74 entrants.
