IT

Continual diversification enables information technology functions to fulfil the ever-growing needs of various structures and to keep pace with the constant evolution of technology. The Renault Information Systems (DSIR) employs 2,500 people.

The five main functional activities in the IT department are:

User support and assistance

This group handles the problems encountered by IT users on a daily basis by offering them rapid diagnostics and solutions. They are also responsible for the installation of individual workstations and making sure they function smoothly.

Production and operations

These employees are responsible for operations on a daily basis in line with quality, costs and delivery time targets. They supply users with IT resources, including telephones and video-conferencing, anticipate possible malfunctions, and integrate new software and hardware into existing systems.

Studies, development and integration

These teams analyse, develop and parameterize new software. IS project managers supervise and coordinate the development of information systems from the draft project to implementation among users.

Consulting

This "skills family" covers:

  • domain and customer commitments,
  • information systems management,
  • information systems and processes troubleshooting,
  • information systems architecture.

These teams propose, develop and adapt information systems to reach the performance standards set by the group and by the Renault-Nissan Alliance.

Information technology expertise

These specialists devise and validate hardware, software and telecom solutions that correspond to users' needs and function correctly at controlled costs.
