MANAGEMENT

Implementing environmental management thruoghout the company

A business with an environmental management system can minimize the impact of its activities on the environment, prevent incidents and take action to improve its environmental performance. ISO 14001 certification recognizes implementation of such a system.

The roll-out of the environmental management system across the Renault group and throughout the vehicle life cycle is a priority.

Environmental management is based on:

  • environmental analysis of the Group’s activities;
  • defining and implementing programs and initiatives that meet impact reduction targets;
  • training and educating all employees on environmental issues, i.e. a Renault designer should be as strongly focused on the environment as a remediation engineer;
  • regular assessment through internal indicators and external checks.

  • The majority of Renault’s industrial sites comply with ISO 14001 environmental certification standards as well as the Highly Protected Risk label. The Group is working to obtain these certifications for all its new sites.
