Located in the Val-de-Marne department, in the municipalities of Choisy-le-Roi and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, the Choisy-le-Roi plant is in a "special protection area for atmospheric pollution". The plant has easy access to several major highways and is close to Orly airport. Flanked by the River Seine to the west, it is close to two drinking water production plants. The nearest homes are about 100 m away.

“The big event of the year at Choisy was the renewal of ISO 14001 certification, confirming the success of the progress policy introduced in 1999. Since that year, over €4 million has been invested in environmental protection facilities. A unit grouping skills on hygiene, the environment and risk protection was set up at the plant in 2009.”

“This year was marked by low activity, which partly explains the fall in water and energy consumption. However, our results on liquid effluents worsened, while still remaining above regulatory limits. An action plan is currently being drawn up to correct this drift.”
