The plant is 2.5 km from the English Channel and 400 m from the Arques coastal river into which the site discharges its stormwater through the municipal system. The plant is located above a water table (at a depth of 12 metres), outside the boundaries of the drinking-water catchment areas.
In 2008, Alpine Renault Dieppe continued its efforts to save energy by cutting power consumption by 9%. Savings of around 19% were achieved in 2008, partly by the improved decantation of paint sludge (primers and varnish) and by reusing process water for waterproofing tests.
