From 1976 to 1994, he worked for the Rover Group in England, Belgium, Spain and in France where he was Marketing Director from 1987 to 1994.

In 1994, he joined Volkswagen in France successively as Sales and Marketing Director, Managing Director and Chairman of the Group from 2000 to 2004.In 2004, he became Managing Director of Fiat France and in 2005 was nominated Marketing Director, Worldwide of the Fiat Brand in Turin.

He took over as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing on September 10, 2007. From January 2, 2008 he will join the Renault Management Committee. He becomes Senir Vice President, Global Marketing and Communications on October 4, 2010.
