Several Renault systems work together to avoid any loss of vehicle control in emergency situations.

Sudden braking

EBA (Emergency Brake Assist) combined with ABS (Anti-Blocking System) helps control vehicle trajectory whatever the braking intensity.

  • EBA automatically calls on all the vehicle’s braking capacities as soon as it detects emergency braking. Braking distance is reduced with no brutal loss of trajectory.
  • ABS detects the onset of wheel lock and reduces pressure in the braking circuit to provide tires with maximum grip.

Loss of grip

ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) helps vehicles pull away on poor-grip surfaces such as snow or black ice. Skidding wheels are automatically braked, to the benefit of a tire with better grip.

ESC (Electronic Stability Control) sensors work on the wheels to keep the vehicle on the driver-intended trajectory. ESC helps drivers regain control of their vehicle following any sudden loss in grip (bend taken too fast, black ice, etc.).
