Test your skills with Need for Speed: Undercover

The simulators installed in the Sport and Formula 1 zone of Renault’s stand are always popular with the younger visitors.

This year, the stand features a simulator of the Twingo RS and a terminal on which visitors can discover Need for Speed: Undercover from Electronic Arts. In 2008, New Mégane Coupé was added to the prestigious collection of the most attractive cars available in the game. Its thoroughbred and sporty design have been immensely successful, even in the difficult “highway battle” mode!

Since it first appeared in 1994, more than twelve versions of Need for Speed have been published. Need for Speed: Undercover is available on PlayStation 3, XBox 360, Playstation 2, Wii, PSP, Nintendo DS and PC.

Lower CO2 emissions - today

For a number of years, Renault has been working to cut the quantity of CO2 emitted by its vehicles. In a bid to go even further, in 2007 the brand launched the Renault eco² signature - standing for ecological and economical – that is based on three criteria:

  • Manufacturing: 100% of Renault’s factories are now ISO 14001 certified
  • Use: vehicles that emit less than 140 g/km of CO2
  • Recycling: 95% of every end-of-life vehicle can be reused

Renault eco²

At the Frankfurt Motor Show, Renault is exhibiting five Euro5-compliant vehicles that are the flagships of the Renault eco² initiative:

  • Twingo dCi 85, which emits 94 g of CO2/km and contains 15 kg of recycled plastic.
  • Clio dCi 90, which emits 99 g of CO2/km
  • New Mégane dCi 110, fitted with the new DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) gearbox, which will be available in the Mégane range in 2010
  • New Scénic dCi 90, which emits 125 g of CO2/km and contains 34 kg of recycled plastic, representing 14% of the weight of the plastic in the vehicle.
  • Laguna Estate dCi 110, which emits 127 g of CO2/km

To cut CO2 emissions, Renault is working on a number of new developments for engines and vehicles: reduction of friction, electric energy management, downsizing or new-generation automatic transmissions.
