On September 14, 2011, Carlos Tavares, Chief Operating Officer for Renault, answered the questions of a group of bloggers from all over Europe.

Here are the key moments :
@enypsilon : How many people will own an electric vehicle in 10 years ?
Carlos Tavares : By 2020, I think 10% of the population will own an E.V. Renault was the first car manufacturer to believe in an E.V. accessible to all, offering a full range of vehicles. Today our E.V.s are avaible to order. People that have pre-reserved a Renault Z.E. on our website can now order their Kangoo Z.E. & Fluence Z.E.
@es_autoblog : How do emerging markets fit into your E.V. strategy ?
Carlos Tavares : We know the E.V. won't develop at the same speed everywhere. Especially with the ever important question of energy independence. But we are confident and know everyone will adopt them. An E.V. costs 25% to maintain and charge than a traditional car. How can't one adopt it?
@auto_propre : How do you collaborate with Nissan and Daimler?
Carlos Tavares : With our partner Nissan we share knowledge and savoir-faire like the development of new engines. We also share manufacturing platforms and factories. With Daimler, we're developping a high-end compact product. We're also working on developping a high-end range for Renault.
@omniauto : I think Twizy will be a hit in Rome, but what about charging stations?
Carlos Tavares : We've signed over 100 partnerships, with energy providers, supermarkets, parking structures and many more. But you can charge Twizy on a regular socket and charging spots are already available in a lot of supermarkets.
@enypsilon : What do you think of us, bloggers ?
Carlos Tavares : I think they're good representatives of our society. They ask very sharp questions and offer a very fresh approach to what we do.
