SPIRIT OF INITIATIVE

Each employee makes change happen. This participative approach enables each person to contribute at his or her level to Group performance.

Enhancing the insight of new recruits

Each new employee sees the company in a new light. Renault encourages new recruits to share what they see as potential avenues of improvement.

Six months after recruitment, new employees meet with their senior manager to share their fresh insights into the company. It is an opportunity for employees to ask questions and submit proposals, and even make criticisms, all in a constructive spirit.

Encouraging staff initiatives

The desire to get all employees involved in “Participative Innovation” policies has been firmly rooted in Renault corporate culture for more than 20 years. This approach also allows all employees to submit practical and organizational ideas for improvement. Employees who come up with the best ideas – those that sharpen our competitive edge or generate substantial savings for the Group – are rewarded.

Renault is gradually developing this system in all countries for all the workforce.

Identifying opportunities for progress

Renault has implemented cross-functional teams made up of different employees, functions and departments. These teams work together on given subjects, identifying both in and outside the company all the opportunities for progress, to make things simpler, faster and better.
