Helping new recruits to become operational fast

New recruits always require a settling-in period. 1st Steps@RenaultGroup provides new recruits with guidelines and helps them get to know the Group’s functions and objectives.

Developing cross-functionality and knowledge sharing

1st Steps@RenaultGroup offers new recruits knowledge fundamentals and a shared culture, whatever their country or profession. Everything is done to encourage interaction with new employees, through meetings, feedback and information sharing.

1st Steps@RenaultGroup... Step by step!

During the first few weeks, new recruits receive support from their direct manager, HR manager and superior manager. They are invited to a “Welcome Day” training course where they learn about the Group and the competitive environment, and at the same time get to know people. New recruits also attend training in a plant or sales environment in the countries concerned.

Six months after recruitment, a review is organized halfway through the induction program. New employees meet their direct manager, HR manager and superior manager to talk about their insights into the Group and suggest avenues for improvement. Renault professions and the Group’s project mode functioning system are then presented at a “Functions and Projects” training session.

Between 6 and 12 months after recruitment, new employees get to take a step back and review their jobs, taking part in a training course on “Business Strategy” and information sessions on performance management.
