APPRENTICESHIPS

Renault takes on some 800 young apprentices each year in France at all levels of education.

Well-balanced work/study training

Apprenticeships in France are for young people who want to complete their studies while working half the time at the company and half the time at school. Depending on the curriculum and the school, the balance can be two days/three days, one week/one week, and two weeks/two weeks.

Apprenticeships enable young people to benefit from solid training and a significant first work experience.

Renault apprenticeship contracts allow young people to prepare for national diplomas and industry qualification certificates from CAP (vocational training certificate) to Masters level.

Diverse professions

The offer corresponds to the precise needs of the company's sectors, principally those of :

  • engineering (drawing, engine development, measures, etc.)
  • electronics
  • production/maintenance
  • sales (marketing, after-sales, technical after-sales, diagnostic, etc.)
  • support services (accounting, human resources, IT, management control, communication, etc.)

Candidates selected in March

Students are initially directed to Renault by their school. Selection at Renault is by interview. Depending on the job, students may be required to take the TOEIC test. The apprenticeship campaign starts in March and ends in September.

Assistance throughout the program

Once selected, the apprentice joins the company for the contract period (from one to three years). He or she is assisted by a supervisor, responsible for making sure the apprentice settles in and acquires the expected  skills.

A logbook maintains contact between the school  and the company. Halfway through the contract, review meeting checks that the internship is  progressing in line with the objectives of Renault and of the school.
