Six major types of functions  

There are six major types of functions in Market Area France 

 

Distribution channel management:

 

Distribution channel management groups two functions whose role is to expand our operations in different territories: 

 

  • sales coordination
  • territorial coverage analysis


These posts are mainly occupied by all-rounders with a solid financial background and postgraduate-level qualifications. 

 

 

Product and services marketing:

 

Operational staff include:

 

  • Management: product range managers and product managers.
  • Commercial methods officers, specializing in marketing expertise.
  • Advertising: the people in these jobs manage the whole of the company's advertising communications in France. They are high-profile graduates from business schools, or advertising or communications schools.  

 

 

Commercial planning:

 

Commercial planning is a profession for specialists in logistics and distribution. The job involves forecasting, scheduling and strategic thinking on the marketing of our products, as well as anticipating market trends to come up with the right answers. Here also, employees have postgraduate-level qualifications, often from business schools. 

 

 

Profit centre management:

 

This typically involves interfacing with the main administrations and managing products with specific features. People in this function work closely with spare parts units, through SODICAM, and also with the Export Sales sector. 

 

 

Customer service centres:

 

Acting as veritable back offices for the network, customer service functions draw on different types of expertise and pass on know-how to the upper echelons at Headquarters. The role of customer service officers is to build a technical assistance structure for the network, together with support for vehicle distribution. One of their main missions is to manage customer relations through call centres, for example. This function needs people who are highly qualified in specific fields, from either within the Renault network or outside the company, such as young professionals with considerable experience in the car industry. 

 

 

Human resources management network-wide:

 

This is the major activity at Market Area France. Missions include training all employees with technical backgrounds, defining the professions of tomorrow and managing personnel to allow for change, while taking into consideration new vehicles and the sales techniques which are most appropriate for these new products.
