PARTS AND ACCESSORIES

Renault’s Parts and Accessories business represents revenues of over € 4 billion and makes a major contribution to the financial performance of the Group and the after-sales service quality of the manufacturer.

Core functions at Parts & Accessories cover three main areas

Technical:

The Engineering Department, home to 130 engineers and technicians, manages the technical offering and spare parts guidelines for brand vehicles and also develops accessories and the Motrio, Ixell, Prosteel and Ixtar ranges.

The Purchasing Department, with a workforce of 50, purchases all the after-sales products sold and distributed by DPA, original parts and special offers, working together with Group Purchasing.

Sales:

The Strategy & Marketing Department, with 130 employees, establishes the global parts and service strategy, which covers all the products, tools, methods and commercial levers needed to develop the after-sales business, and manages roll-out in regions and countries.

The Sodicam subsidiary, with a sales force of 450 people working across France, implements the after-sales products and services range in the automotive networks. The staff are young and dynamic, like contact and working in the field, and are the spokespeople for customers at the DPA.

The Renault Merchandising subsidiary, staffed by 40 people, manages the sales of merchandising, organized into four areas – Renault, Renault Sport, Renault F1 Team and Dacia – and four product ranges – textiles, miniatures, communication objects and toys.

Logistics:

The Logistics Department, with a workforce of 2,000, designs, implements, manages and upgrades the distribution of after-sales products worldwide. It is responsible for warehouse installation and organization, transport and business flow plans, supplier and customer relations, and the day-to-day order management. A network of 30 spare parts warehouses manages 170,000 line items and ships more than 250,000 order lines a day.

DPA employees work continuously with other company departments. They work with upstream functions (vehicle and powertrain engineering, program, industrial design and purchasing departments) on developing spare parts and accessories, and with downstream departments (regions and countries) on distribution.
