The roll-out of the environmental management system across the Renault group and throughout the vehicle life cycle is a priority.

Environmental management is based on: 

• environmental analysis of the Group’s activities; 
• defining and implementing programs and initiatives that meet impact reduction targets; 
• training and educating all employees on environmental issues, i.e. a Renault designer should be as strongly focused on the environment as a remediation engineer; 
• regular assessment through internal indicators and external checks.   

Résult: all Renault industrial sites comply with the ISO 14001 environmental certification standards and most of them with the Highly Protected Risk label.
