Renault TECH production unit is located in Normandy, about 100 km west of Paris, in the municipal district of Heudebouville.
Covering an area of 1.8 ha, the site is located in the Ecoparc 1 industrial zone next to the A13 motorway near Aubevoye (5 km) and Cléon (25 km), and half-way between Sandouville and Flins.
In 2007, the Renault TECH plant in Heudebouville appointed an environmental manager, who is responsible for implementing an environmental policy on the site and its satellites.
One of the first actions is to introduce sorting for recycling: separating cardboard and paper from soiled waste (soiled glue and paint packaging, soiled rags and paper) and aerosols.
2008 saw the improvement of waste management by employees:
- Installation of two individual wastebaskets (one for common industrial waste and one for paper) in the offices,
- awareness campaign highlighting the importance of selective sorting,
- collection and recycling of car batteries, batteries and accumulators for hand-held tools.
The installation of a night-time cell to control peripheral security lighting on the site helped to cut power consumption.
Finally, environmental aspects are always taken into consideration in new projects.
