GROUP

VILVOORDE - RIB

After assembly activities were shut down in 1997, RIB became a subcontractor for volume-produced and spare parts and services for the Renault Group worldwide. RIB operates in four sectors: wheels, exhaust, pre-delivery inspection and bodywork.

Situation

The Vilvoorde site is located northeast of Brussels. The Senne River is located about 200 m northwest of the land. The Willebroeck Canal flows about 50 metres northwest of the Senne. The Antwerp-Brussels railway line runs along southeast of the buildings. The railway is located on a four-metre high embankment. Various industrial activities are located around the site.

The site entered the Renault group's reporting scope in 2001.

Highlights

RIB’s lower environmental impact, particularly as concerns the lower water and energy consumption, is the result of staff commitment to more efficient use of facilities and buildings.
