The Alpine Renault Dieppe site is located in the Seine Maritime region, less than 200 km west of Paris. It is close to the town of Dieppe, in the Breaute industrial zone.
The plant is 2.5 km from the English Channel and 400 m from the Arques coastal river into which the site discharges its stormwater through the municipal system. The plant is located above a water table (at a depth of 12 metres), outside the boundaries of the drinking-water catchment areas.
In second-quarter 2009, Alpine Renault Dieppe brought an LPG version of Clio III into production, leading to an upswing in assembly activity. The plant nevertheless continued its efforts on energy savings, reducing its consumption by 8%, mainly by making changes to paint booth ventilation outside of production hours. This initiative also helped to reduce evaporation from paint baths, resulting in a cut in water consumption. In addition, the site optimized its gas consumption and thus did not have to use domestic fuel, thereby eliminating SO2 emissions.
