SAINT-ANDRÉ DE L'EURE - SOFRASTOCK INTERNATIONAL

Founded by the Renault Group in 1971, Sofrastock International is specialized in Supply Chain Management (JIT supply-flow management, stock management, information flow management).

Situation

The company is located 80km to the west of Paris, near the village of Saint-André-de-l'Eure, just next to the airfield. It covers 30ha.

The site is located on agricultural land. The nearest housing is 500m to the southeast of the site. The site's activity primarily concerns logistics activities with very little discharge.

Highlights

Christophe Vallée, environmental manager:

“In 2009 Sofrastock International reduced its waste treatment costs and increased recycled waste, notably by introducing new processes, including:

  • a wood waste shredding system, reducing the number of wood bin rotations,
  • a recycling process for thermoformed plastics, which by avoiding incineration reduces our HIW.

Continuing on from its environmental efforts in 2009, in 2010 the business met the growing requirements of its customers by extending its chemicals unit in respect of prevailing environmental standards."
