GROUP

RENAULT AND ITS FOUNDATIONS

Founded in 2001, the Renault Foundation supports young talents from all countries and helps them to grow in a multi-cultural world. It coordinates and funds educational and high-level research programs, with a two-fold ambition: to foster sharing between cultures and develop exchanges between France, Europe and the other countries where the Group is present. The Renault Spain and Renault Argentina Foundations are active locally in their respective countries.

The Renault Foundation: promoting multi-cultural management

In an increasingly globalized world, the management of the future will inevitably be multi-cultural. On the strength of this conviction, the Renault Foundation organizes and fully funds 4 training programs

  • The Dauphine Sorbonne Renault MBA, created in partnership with Paris Dauphine University and the IAE (Institute of Business Administration) at the Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne University, since 2002.
  • The ParisTech Renault Foundation Master’s degree in “Transport and Sustainable Development”, delivered by Ponts ParisTech, Mines, ParisTech and Ecole Polytechnique, since 2004.
  • Since 2007, the Renault Polytechnique HEC Chair in Multi-cultural Management and Company Performance provides an opportunity for final-year students at the HEC business school and second-year students at Polytechnique to be trained in multi-cultural managerial practices. The course is based on a number of educational programs and research projects conducted in France, India and Japan.
  • Since 2010, the ParisTech Renault Foundation Master’s degree in “Mobility and Electric Vehicles” .

To mark its tenth anniversary, the Renault Foundation has announced the launch of three new higher education programmes, developed with its national and international partners.

430 students from more than 10 countries (Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Iran, Romania, Russia, India, Morocco, Lebanon) have already followed these programs.

The Renault Spain and Renault Argentina Foundations

Renault has two other Foundations worldwide.

Founded in 1963, the Renault Spain Foundation funds bursaries for the children of the Group’s employees in Spain. In 2009, more than 150 children received grants of about €600 each.

The Renault Argentina Foundation has been supporting humanitarian, educational, health, road safety and environmental programs for 50 years. In 2009 the Foundation supported a number of innovative projects, including:

  • Educación Ambiental Para Todos (Environmental education for all), which attempts to raise ecological awareness amongst teenagers through play-based activities. 11- to 15-year old pupils and their teachers learn environment-friendly practices in small projects that are easy to complete.
  • The Movete Seguro (Moving safely) competition invites secondary school students to think about the risks they encounter on the road every day and the precautions that can reduce them. The best projects, presented in the shape of drawings, receive a prize and are published on the competition’s web site.
