He joined Renault's Bodywork Methods Department in 1984 and went on, from 1989 to 1995, to hold several plant positions at the Flins and Douai sites in France. In 1998 he joined the Russia project in Moscow as Industrial Director of Avtoframos. From 1999 to 2005, he was Director of the Flins plant. He was named Director of Industrial Performance in mid-2005 and on April 1, 2008 was appointed Vice President, Manufacturing Assembly Plants, within the Manufacturing Department. He became Chairman of Americas Region on November 2, 2009.
