He joined Renault in 1973 as a bodywork synthesis engineer. He was in charge of the Renault 25 (1979) and Renault 21 (1984) projects, then went on to become head of manufacturing engineering and new work at the Sandouville plant in 1986.
Between 1990 and 1997, he was appointed Director of the Mégane range Project. He was named Senior Vice President, Vehicle Engineering Development in 1999 and became a member of the Renault Management Committee. On January 2, 2008, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain.
From September 1, 2010, Michel Faivre-Duboz, is appointed General Manager of Renault in Morocco.
