Certified ISO 14001 since 2005, the Pitesti plant is the historic site of the Dacia brand. It features a body shop and 2 assembly lines dedicated to Logan (all versions), Sandero and Duster models. Over 300,000 units are manufactured each year (Vs. 200,000 in 2004). The powertrain unit makes engines and gearboxes for Dacia and Renault vehicles.
Since the privatisation of the brand in 1999, €489 million have been invested by Renault in order to brought up Pitesti to Group's standards.
Since 2012, Dacia can rely on the Renault-Alliance plant based in Tangier (Morocco) for the manufacturing of its Lodgy MPV. A small van which will also be available in passenger car form are also expected. In the first instance, the plant will assemble 200,000 vehicle per year.
Las but not least, the SOMACA plant (Casablanca, Morocco) assembles Logan (since 2005) and Sandero under the Dacia brand.
