For its 39th edition, the Deauville Film Festival has asked the assistance of a top-end jury. President Vincent Lindon debated the merits of the films in competition with jury members Lou Doillon, Jean Echenoz, Hélène Fillières, Xavier Giannoli, Famke Janssen, Pierre Lescure, Bruno Nuytten and Rebecca Zlotowski to award the Grand Prix and the Prix du Jury in the evening of the last day.
The jury selected chose the winners amongst 14 films in competition, including The Retrieval (by Chris Eska) Blue Caprice (by Alexandre Moors) Ain’t them bodies saints (by David Lowery) or All is Lost (by J.C Chandor)
As always, there were prestigious premieres, with many stars on the red carpet.
For the fourth time, Deauville celebrated TV series during an event called Deauville Season 4. This focus comes as an addition to the Les Docs de l'Oncle Sam selection, the Nuits Américaines and numerous master classes.
