Renault has been an official partner of the Cannes International Film Festival for 28 years. More than a quarter of a century of glamour, celebrations and films, during which the brand’s vehicles (from the Renault 30 to Vel Satis) have escorted the greatest film stars to the foot of the red carpet.
For the 64th Cannes Festival in 2011, over 100 official vehicles, including Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet Floride and Fluence Z.E., a world exclusive, were seen driving up and down the famous Croisette, with the elite of international cinema onboard.
In September 2011, and for the 12th year running, Renault is an Official Partner of the American Film Festival in Deauville. A fleet of Latitudes (2.0 dCi 150ch) is provided to jury and guests.
For its 15th edition, the Festival International du Film de Comédie de l'Alpe d'Huez (17-22 January 2012) chose Renault as an Official Partner. Espaces, Dacia Dusters and Trafic Passengers drove the artists on the snowy roads of the French ski resort. Espaces were given to the association "Les Toiles Enchantées" to bring cinema to sick children in the region. Finally, Mégane R.S. Trophy showed its skills at the Exhibition Festival, on the famous ice track of L'Alpe d'Huez, with French two-wheel-drive champion Emmanuel Guigou on hand.
Renault is also an official partner of the Académie des César and its offshoots (Daniel Toscan du Plantier Prize, Nuits en Or short film awards). La Nuit des César awards evening, which takes place every year in February, is the key event. In 2010, a fleet of 30 Latitude accompanied patrons throughout the various events.
Renault is an official partner of the second online French film Festival, that took place January 12 to February 1, 2012. This digital festival is organised by Unifrance to promote French film creations internationally. It is available on the official website: www.myfrenchfilmfestival.com.
Renault also supports: the Festival International des Programmes Audiovisuels, the Festival du Film Romantique de Cabourg, the Festival du Film Francophone d'Angoulême and the Festival du Film du Grand Lyon et de l'Institut Lumière.
