A FESTIVAL OF PARTNERSHIPS!

Renault is a faithful and enthusiastic cinema fan. To express its support for the seventh art, the brand is present at leading film festivals around the world.

Renault and festivals in France, a historic partnership

Renault has been an official partner of the Cannes International Film Festival for 30 years. More than a quarter of a century of glamour, celebrations and films, during which the brand’s vehicles (from the Renault 30 to Vel Satis) have escorted the greatest film stars to the foot of the red carpet.

 

For the 66th Cannes Festival in 2013, over 200 official vehicles, including Latitude, Espace, Captur, ZOE and Twizy, will drive up and down the famous Croisette, with the elite of international cinema onboard.

 

In September 2012, and for the 13th year running, Renault was an Official Partner of the American Film Festival in Deauville. A fleet of Latitudes is provided to jury and guests.

 

For its 16th edition, the Festival International du Film de Comédie de l'Alpe d'Huez (16-20 January 2013) chose Renault as an Official Partner. Renault cars drove the artists on the snowy roads of the French ski resort.

 

Renault is also an official partner of the Académie des César and its offshoots (Daniel Toscan du Plantier Prize, Nuits en Or short film awards). La Cérémonie des César awards evening, which takes place every year in February, is the key event. In 2013, a fleet of Espace drove patrons to the various events. 

 

Renault is also an official partner of the online French film Festival, My French Film Festival, that takes place January 17 to February 17, 2014. This digital festival is organised by Unifrance to promote French film creations internationally. The online festival is held on the www.myfrenchfestival.com website, where the public is able to watch some 20 French films, subtitled in 13 languages.

 

Renault also supports: the Festival International des Programmes Audiovisuels, the Festival du Film Romantique de Cabourg, the Festival du Film Francophone d'Angoulême and the Festival du Film du Grand Lyon et de l'Institut Lumière.

Renault, an international player, is proud to contribute to promoting the cinema around the world.

 

In 2012, Renault was, for the fifth time in a row, an official Transporter of the 12th 'Festival International du Film' of Marrakech. This edition is a tribute to Bollywood cinema. Organizer of an official party that gathered 600 cinema-lovers, Renault also provided a fleet of Latitudes, which escorted actors and personalities throughout the city.

 

Renault’s Spanish subsidiary signed a partnership with the country’s leading film event, the International Film Festival in San Sebastian, dispatching a fleet of vehicles for each edition.

 

Renault Spain is also an official partner of the Valladolid International Film Festival. This event, which promotes the work of exacting film makers, brought to fame such directors as Pedro Almodovar. Its existence has been decisive for Spanish and international cinema.

 

In Poland, Renault Polska is a close partner of the Gdynia Film Festival, the equivalent of the French César awards. A contribution to Polish cinema worldwide.

 

In the UK, Renault is the official car supplier to the London Film Festival, chauffeuring over 550 international directors and stars. Since 2000, Renault has been the official car sponsor of the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival.

 

The subsidiaries in Turkey, Switzerland and the Czech Republic also partner film festivals held in their respective countries.

 

These partnerships illustrate the ties between the Group and the cinema, and the role played by Renault in promoting cultural heritage.
