New SM3 delivers a robust image through smooth curves in the front harmonized with a wide but elaborately sculpted side body. Especially the strong lines surrounding the headlamps and broad shoulders over the thick and clear wheel arches are impressive.

While being the biggest size in its segment, New SM3 has achieved 1st grade fuel efficiency (15.0 km/l) through optimal tuning by Renault Samsung Motors based on the fantastic combination of Nissan’s advanced engine and Xtronic Transmission. 

As the most recently developed engine by Renault-Nissan Alliance with a balance of power and fuel efficiency, the H4M Engine has been praised for its superiority. Within the Renault Group, New SM3 is the first car with such applied.

From the perspective of active safety, all New SM3 models possess EBD-ABS (Electronic Brake Force Distribution – Anti lock Braking System)’ and ‘BAS (Brake Assist System)’ which determines situations where sudden braking are necessary and increases braking power.

From the perspective of passive safety, the vehicle has acquired the highest offset crash safety performance (5 stars, based on Renault Samsung Motors’ measurements). Besides, passenger airbag is installed as standard equipment in all models and side and curtain airbags are available options across all models. At the same time the ISOFIX (child seat fixation device) improves safety upon front, side, and rear crashes with an infant or child sitting in the back seat.
