Joined Renault in 1977 at the Billancourt plant and then moved to the Planning Department. Appointed Deputy General Manager of the Gomez-Palacio engine plant in Mexico in 1983. Became Executive Assistant to Renault Chairman and CEO Raymond H. Lévy, in 1987. Appointed Director of Product Marketing in 1993, Managing Director of Renault Italy in 1997 and Senior Vice President, Market Area France in 1998. In 2000, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Market Area Europe. Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, and a member of the Group Executive Committee (CEG) since January 2005. He is also a member of the Renault-Nissan Alliance Board.
