Began his career in 1969 at Citibank. Joined the Renault group in 1982 to take up a position as director of financial services at Renault V.I. from 1982 to 1984. Named chief financial officer at DIAC (1984-1987). He was director of financial operations at Renault's finance and strategic planning department from 1987 to 1989 and project director for Safrane from 1989 to 1994. Appointed Senior Vice President, Purchasing in 1994 and became a member of the Renault Management Committee. He was also named Chairman and managing director, Renault Nissan Purchasing Organization in 2001. Jean-Baptiste Duzan is Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller since December 2002.
