Joined Renault in September 1978 as engineer at the Engine Department.
In 1985, he became head of Alpine Studies department. In1990, he was Engineering Project Manager for Laguna I. In 1994, he joined the Powertrain Engineering department. He became Manager of the Renault Cléon plant in 1997, and X85 Project manager in 2002. In 2005, he was appointed VP Director I Program (small cars – B segment). Since January 2007, he is Senior Vice President Powertrain Engineering.
Jacques Prost became a member of the Renault Management Committee on January 2, 2008.
