From 1983 to 1988, he worked at the Cogema (Compagnie Générale des Matières Nucléaires). Appointed Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the SGN-Krebs group as well as Chairman and CEO of Eurisys Consultants in 1988. From 1992 to 1999, he was Director of the Reprocessing Division of the Cogema group and Chairman and CEO of the Transnucléaire group. Became member of the Usinor Group Management Committee in 2000. Joined Renault in 2002 as Senior Vice President, Quality. 
Executive Vice President, Engineering and Quality, and member of the Group Executive Committee (CEG) since January 2005. He is also member of the Renault-Nissan Alliance Board.
