Became responsible for the Human Resources Department in 1996, and was appointed Corporate Secretary General in 1998, in charge of Group Human Resources. In March 2007, he became Corporate Secretary General of Renault and responsible for the performance of Renault support functions. Starting February 1, 2008, Michel de Virville took on new responsibilities at the MEDEF (the French association of business leaders) and the UIMM (the union of metallurgical industries).
Michel de Virville is a member of the Renault Management Committee (CDR).
