Our vision
Joining Renault means joining a group committed to a growth plan with Renault Commitment 2009, which aims to position Renault durably as Europe’s most profitable full-line automotive manufacturer. Joining Renault also means joining a group in full international expansion, especially since its alliance with Nissan. Finally, joining Renault means joining a human, reliable and enthusiastic group. We talked to Gérard Leclercq, Head of Group Human Resources.
Gérard Leclercq, Head of Group Human Resources
Why should people join Renault?
We have made our ambitions clear with Renault Commitment 2009, namely the quality of our products and services with the launch of 26 vehicles over a three-year period, sales growth with expansion in new world markets (Russia, Brazil, India, Iran, China, etc.), and profitability. Working at Renault is about contributing to the performance of a forward-moving, open and exciting group. We make three pledges to our current and future employees: to offer them career development opportunities, life-long training and a working environment that is demanding, diverse and stimulating.
What kind of people are you looking for?
Each recruitment is a major investment for the company. People joining Renault do so with a long-term perspective. About 65% of our new recruits are young people with less than three years’ work experience.
Some of them are selected from among the numerous interns, apprentices, international corporate volunteers, and students who each year discover Renault and complete their studies. We are also looking for women and men with proven expertise in the complex organization of functions, countries and products to work in our core business lines of engineering, manufacturing, logistics, purchasing and sales. All staff categories are concerned: production workers, technicians, engineers and managers who are able to work cross-functionally.
Is Renault placing an emphasis on international recruitment?
Our teams are increasingly multi-cultural. We are very interested in international backgrounds, i.e. people who have lived, studied or worked outside their native country for at least two years. We are also keen to recruit people who come from a different country than the one they work in. An absolute requirement for all engineers and managers is that they must speak English.
Who should applicants send their CVs and cover letters to?
The best thing to do is to use our website to submit job or internship applications for engineers, managers, technicians and production workers. International corporate volunteer positions for engineers and managers are also online at our site.
