Meet the people: Elena Chiodo
We are committed to welcoming and integrating our new recruits and we do everything possible to smoothen out their first months with the group. New staff are given ongoing support and orientation from day one to gain a cross-functional overview of the organization. Their first steps with Renault are marked by a series of "milestones" that will help them realize their full potential. Elena Chiodo looks back at her first months with Renault.

"After a six-month internship and a period as a temp, I was hired by Renault on May 15, 2001. I had heard a lot about the company in 1999 when the Alliance with Nissan took place. The Alliance reinforced the group's international scope and widened opportunities for working abroad.
For the first part of the induction programme, I was sent to the Sandouville plant. There, I was faced with a very special environment where I gained first-hand experience of the daily life of the people who manufacture vehicles, and was in direct contact with the product. You also realize the extent to which robots facilitate the tasks performed. The experience was one I would gladly repeat!
During my week-long internship in the sales network in Avignon, I discovered a world filled with new and used cars and spare parts. My conclusion is that selling cars is certainly not a piece of cake!
The two internships, plus the seminars which punctuate the first months of work at Renault, help you to acquire a sense of the general corporate culture. To work effectively at Renault, an all-round understanding of the automotive product is indispensable."
