Meet the people: Hélène Tavier
A career with Renault is always considered over the long-term, taking each individual's aspirations into account. Some place special emphasis on multiplying their skills and diversifying experiences, others on specialization. But for everyone mobility means being able to constantly develop their professional know-how. Take Hélène Tavier for example, Head of Managerial Recruitment and Relations with Schools at Human Resources, France.

“I worked at RCI Banque, the Group’s finance subsidiary, for 15 years before joining Renault. With my general studies background, and a particular affinity for finance and management control, I held a number of positions at RCI. I learnt a great deal in the first two, as Market Operations Accountant and then as Finance Manager at RCI Spain. My following jobs, as Territorial Manager and Project Manager at customer marketing, were closely linked to Renault’s sales activity. In particular, I monitored finance activities during the coming together of Renault and Nissan.
I wanted to work at Renault because it respects the values I respect – human relations, listening, team work, no discrimination, etc. I also wanted to be part of a new adventure: I arrived at Human Resources at a time of structural reorganization. Our objectives are ambitious. We want to improve service, provide real management support, and reduce costs. I like being a part of this challenge.
My job consists in finding competent employees for the operational functions, beginners or experienced. I analyze training courses in France, manage relations with schools, conduct personality interviews and take care of integrating new staff. I have learnt how to identify the potential of candidates in each interview.
I appreciate the cross-functional view this job gives me of all Group functions. But it’s the human dimension I like the most. I enjoy working to match the search for performance with the human aspect.
