“I joined Renault in September 2006 because I was passionate about cars – the technology, the product and the design. For me, Renault is the most emblematic of French carmakers.

My career at Renault started with an audit internship as part of my diploma. I worked with auditors for seven months and held a real job position, which made it a great learning experience. I traveled a lot on audit missions at subsidiaries and plants and really appreciated being so involved in the life of the department.

At the end of the internship, a job position came up in the department. So I went directly from internship to open-ended contract.The settling-in period was smooth because I already knew the people I was working with – and they also knew what to expect with me!

After that I attended an induction course, production-work training in particular. Fitting the same part in the same place 324 times helps you put things in perspective! I learnt an enormous amount in those three weeks.

The advantage of being an auditor is working with several other departments. Every day I learn a little bit more about company processes. Because our department reports directly to General Management, we have a comprehensive view of Group activities.

In my job, I have learned how to organize, how to be efficient and how to structure my work. I hope to be able to use these skills later on in my career.  

I like the travel aspect of my job. You do have to be available, but the trips have their rewards. I get to see different cultures and learn about other ways of working.”
