Eliminating or reducing vehicle impact
Renault tries to eliminate or reduce vehicle impact on the environment at every stage of the vehicle life cycle.
Renault incorporates environmental factors by acquiring increasingly precise information on the ecological impact of each stage in the vehicle life cycle. These stages include the supply chain, manufacturing, use and end-of-life.
To this end, Renault makes detailed environmental analyses of each site and monitors data with its suppliers. It is thus able to obtain detailed inventories of flows – of noise, and the emission of carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides, for example – and their impact on the vehicle life cycle.
Enhanced with each new scientific development, this information benefits each business line and each vehicle project. It reduces environmental nuisance right from the design and development phase while factoring in customer expectations on road safety, comfort, quality and design.
