Training
Deployment of the training policy in all countries is closely monitored by means of common supervision indicators, making it possible to measure:
the average number of training hours provided per person in 2006: more than 5.1 million hours of training were provided in the Group, i.e. 39.3 hours per employee (more than 5 million training hours, i.e. roughly 40.2 hours per employee in 2005);
The rate of access to training in 2006: on the Group scale, on average four employees out of five undergo training every year, i.e. an access rate of 80.1 % (81 % in 2005);
Percentage of total training expenditure in relation to the 2006 payroll: for the whole Group, investment totalled 171.5 million euros, i.e. 4.4% of the payroll (190.6 million euros, i.e. 5.4 % of the payroll in 2005);
E-learning represents more than 100,000 hours in 2006, constituting an increase of around 7 % compared to the previous year.
