Partnership with the education system

  • Renault SAS welcomes more than 4,900 young people, including 900 work-study students and more than 3,600 trainees at every level and from every core function,
  • Renault pays a total of 8.5 million euros to nearly 500 schools in France in the form of apprenticeship tax
  • Development of new partnerships with schools and universities providing education and training in the core automotive functions (design, vehicle engineering and powertrain engineering).
  • Participation in numerous forums at "grandes écoles" and universities. These actions are backed up by numerous events organised by each establishment in its local employment pool and by each subsidiary in its country.
  • Signature with the French Education Ministry, of the "Business charter for commitment to equal opportunities in education".  Through this text, Renault demonstrates its determination, together with forty other companies, to implement actions to set up partnerships and provide information about their activities to school pupils in underprivileged areas.

  • Proportion of recruitment of international profiles by Renault s.a.s. = 36% for engineers and managers
  • Proportion of women in the workforce : 17.4% (compared to 16.6% at the end of 2005 and 15.9% at the end of 2004)
  • Proportion of blue collar workers in the workforce : 47.5 %

  • Access to the internal employment exchange “JobAccess” in 34 countries. On average, more than 1,200 internal job vacancies are on offer.
  • Access to Careers@renault  which describes the positions identified within the context of professional careers.  This application describes the main positions in France and will be deployed internationally in 2007.  672 reference job descriptions are on offer in Commerce, Manufacturing, Sales Financing, Engineering, Support.
