Women for Education
The commitment reflected in Renault's partnership with the Women's Forum is also seen in its support for the "Women for Education" program. The aim of this initiative set up by the Women's Forum and ELLE magazine is to promote education and job training for girls and women. Carlos Ghosn, Renault's chairman, participated in the closing discussion at the Forum, held in Deauville between October 11 and 13, 2007, and gave out the prize to the project chosen by the Forum's participants. Through its support, Renault will contribute to concrete initiatives aimed at helping women in developing countries.

The humanitarian action of RRG
RRG, Renault's distribution subsidiary, decided, in accordance with the trade unions, to set up a fund for humanitarian and social aid. This fund relies on:
- a 2% levy on profit-sharing bonuses paid to employees,
- an equivalent top-up payment by the company.
The fund, which has an upper limit of €140,000 is designed to:
- provide financial support for a range of humanitarian, national and international projects,
- finance the humanitarian missions of Renault employees as part of a system through which staff can use their free time to help others.
Corporate philanthropy actions by foreign subsidiaries
Because the population and the citizens’ needs and expectations often depend on local situations and on local issues, Renault dedicates a part of its investments to actions taken by its subsidiaries. In 2007, about the half of the corporate philanthropy investments has been realized by the subsidiaries.
