The Environmental and Risks Master Plan introduced in 2002, ensures that designers communicate with plant personnel and that the environment is taken into account in the definition of production processes. The Plan's objective is to reduce the environmental impact of industrial plants over a 10 year period.

Through the Environmental and Risks Master Plan, Renault is able to plan for forthcoming developments and make provisions in advance for the best technical and economic solutions (such as clean technologies) with a view to maintaining the environmental performance of its plants over the long term.
