Le Mans - ACI
Auto Châssis International (ACI) is a Renault company specialized in the design, development, validation and manufacture of chassis systems and modules. ACI has two sites in France (Le Mans and Villeurbanne), one in Romania (Pitesti) and one in Iran (near Teheran). The site in Le Mans consists of a chassis technical centre and a plant conducting a full range of automotive activities: casting, stamping and forming of materials, machining, welding, painting (electrocoating) and assembly.
The year 2008 will be a turning point. Events started at end-2007 with high demand for chassis production. This year, production of Logan in Iran will also be ramped-up sharply.

Highlights
Initiatives to promote employees' fundamental rights
Promoting health
A stress, anxiety and depression clinic was set up. The clinic makes it easier to talk about stress in the workplace, identify preventive measures and advise people at risk on where to seek help.
Promoting safety and good working conditions
Raise staff awareness of behaviour that can prevent accidents: a suggestions competition was held over 10 weeks. Each employee received documents on the benefits and achievements of positive behaviour, and on the preliminary requirements for preventing accidents.
Promoting employment
Nine people were hired for 12 months on work/study programmes under a labour-market integration scheme. The scheme will enable these employees to obtain a qualification recognized by industry and increase their chances of finding further employment.
