Oyak-Renault is a subsidiary that manufactures and exports Renault passenger cars and powertrain components produced in Turkey. The company is headquartered in Istanbul and owns a plant in Bursa.
The Istanbul headquarters consists of the following departments: General Administration, Human Resources, Plan & Product, Communications, Finance and Purchasing.
The Bursa plant consists of workshops that manufacture Mégane II, Clio Symbol and Clio III, and powertrain workshops. The site started producing "Clio Grand Tour”, the Clio stationwagon.

Workforce
With the recruitment of engineers and operators for vehicle and powertrain projects, the workforce of Ovak-Renault increased in 2007 (179 white collar workers and 836 blue collar workers were hired).
Training hours
The "İmalat Okulu" website was set up for Oyak-Renault. Twelve training modules for operators were adapted and incorporated into 36 training programmes.
The e-learning system was launched in March 2007.
22,230 hours were delivered to suppliers, at a cost of €83,092.
Occupational accidents
Significant improvement in F1 and F2 rates on the previous year.
The site renewed its SMR (Renault Management System) label, with a score of 89.6 out of 100.
The site renewed its HPR (Highly Protected Risk) rating, with a score of 19.5 out of 20.
Several training modules were delivered:
Worksite safety for 140 project leaders;
Worksite safety for worksite supervisors and their safety officers (70 suppliers);
Worksite safety for 2,500 blue collar workers working for suppliers (5,000 hours).
Initiative & Creativity
In 2007, 31,246 suggestions were submitted and 24,985 of them were put into practice. This exceptional result reflects a 23% increase on the previous year. The suggestions delivered savings of €4.2 million, which was a 100% increase.
