Waste
Variations in waste tonnage from one year to the next can be attributed to scrapping of locked stock.
In general, waste generation has decreased. Special attention to optimizing packaging has contributed.
Energy
The plan to reduce electricity consumption continues to achieve results through strict management of lighting by centralized technical management.
Highlights
The Villeroy site was ramped up in 2007. The environment was taken into account right from the feasibility study phase for this 110.000 m² site, and is factored into its operations.
The Villeroy logistics site is located right on the motorway. It is serviced daily by around 200 trucks, which do not pass through any residential areas. Thousands of recycled tyres have been buried to facilitate drainage. The platform provides for efficient sorting of all waste for recycling. The gutters for collecting storm water runoff are an efficient ecosystem for preventing seepage of hydrocarbons deposited by the trucks that enter and exit the site.
