Workforce
A total of 897 new employees were hired in France, of whom 573 on permanent contracts and 324 on fixed-term contracts.
The 573 permanent positions broke down as: 43.4% production workers, 29% administrative staff, 22% supervisors, and 5.6% executives.
Women accounted for 15.3% of new recruits.
499 people aged under 25 were hired.
The site also hired 160 apprentices and 101 people on youth training schemes (48 production workers and 53 administrative staff).
Training hours
The 2007 training plan saw the first phase of “new product” training to support the launch of new models under Renault Commitment 2009: Twingo and Laguna III. This training is intended for workshop technicians (electro-mechanics and technical coordinators) as well as for the sales force and delivery advisors. This year e-learning modules were introduced. They had an impact on the way employees learn, as well as on the length and cost of training.
Deployment of Renault Excellence Plan 4 (continuous improvement of customer service quality), which began in 2006, continued in 2007 for all the target groups on the job.
Occupational accidents
Improvement in all three rates (F1, F2 and S) with a significant decrease in the number of days off due to accidents from 5,384 to 3,971.
More than 80% of Renault Retail Group sites in France now have the label.
A major awareness-raising campaign on noise was organized.

An Agreement on Disability signed in January 2007 includes provisions on vocational rehabilitation.
