In 2007, key events included:

  • at the beginning of the year, the return of employees seconded to other Renault sites;

  • hiring of temporary employees to meet the increase in production for the launch of a new Laguna III vehicle.

  • the policy to attract more young people was stepped up with the introduction of a work/study programme for two groups of production workers and two groups of logistics specialists.

Occupational accidents

The year 2007 brought organizational changes to the two production flows, and a dramatic increase in plant output, with the successful start-up of Laguna III.

As a result, efforts to improve working conditions focused on two areas:

  • initiatives to support organizational changes, especially the steering of ergonomics management,

  • improving managerial approaches and changes to individual behaviour as part of the policy to prevent workplace accidents.

Initiative & Creativity

When production of an old model (Laguna II) was discontinued, Initiative and Creativity decreased.

In 2007, a new agreement was reached to offer higher rewards for the most effective Practical Suggestions for Improvement.
