Support for the disabled

Renault is actively involved in efforts to assist the disabled.

In France, the Group has:

  • published "En Route", the first practical guide on access to cars for the disabled. "En Route" is available from all Renault dealers, and can also be downloaded;
  • set up Handiservices, a site providing online information for the disabled;
  • developed software that allows dealers to find information on vehicles and equipment suited to the needs of disabled drivers.

The Group is now seeking to give these initiatives greater international reach.

Local community initiatives

Wherever the Group is present, Renault aims to create sustainable relations with the local communities. At each site, specific initiatives are put in place to address local problems. For example:

  • in Brazil, Renault helped to set up a vocational automotive training school in Curitiba;
  • in Turkey, Renault is taking part in a program to teach children first-aid techniques that could save lives in the event of an earthquake.

Sustainable development studies

An effective sustainable development policy demands studies and discussion among peers. For this reason, Renault is a member of different corporate forums and associations.
