Renault is working with other private sector players to promote the emergence of transport solutions that meet the requirements of sustainable mobility.... As part of this aim, the WBCSD set up. Since 2006, Renault became involved in a new project, called " mobility for Development ", which studies solutions for the sustainable mobility in developing countries....

3.Mobility 2030
 Faced with the increase in road traffic and its environmental and social consequences, Renault joined forces with 11 key automotive and oil firms in 2001, to study mobility issues and to promote sustainable mobility.... What is sustainable mobility ?... According to the Mobility 2030 report, sustainable mobility is the ability to " meet society's needs to move freely, gain access, communicate, trade and establish relationships " in such a way that " essential human or ecological factors will not be sacrificed today or in the future. " Put more simply, it means satisfying mobility requirements, while respecting people and the environment....
