- ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution and emergency brake assist (EBA),
- a reinforced structure for front and side impact,
- a ""3D"" type front airbag for improved front passenger protection in the event of impact,
- a curtain airbag to provide optimum head protection in the event of side impact,
- Isofix anchor points at front and rear for maximum child safety.

All versions of the Twingo, whatever the engine, are Renault eco².
- No Twingo emits more than 140g/km of CO2, the diesel engine emits just 113g/km of CO2.
- Twingo comprises 9% recycled plastic (15kg) and 13 kg of renewable materials (latex, cotton, leather, wood).
- Twingo is manufactured by the ISO 14001-certified Novo Mesto plant in Slovenia.
