Non-stop on-track action

The World Series by Renault features three international championships:
• The Formula Renault 3.5 World Series;
• The Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup;
• The Mégane Trophy Eurocup.
Two rounds of each championship are programmed during race weekends.

The bill-topping event is the Formula Renault 3.5 World Series which is contested by 15 teams of two drivers each. The majority of participants have risen up through the ranks of F3 or Formula Renault 2.0. The best of them will later move on to the GP2 Series or even, in the case of the most gifted of them, to F1.

Powered by 3.5-liter, 425hp V6 engines, the cars are strictly identical and feature technology more usually associated with F1, including carbon brakes, semi-automatic paddle-shift transmission and ground effect aerodynamics.

Meanwhile, to compete one day in Formula Renault 3.5 is the dream of the 35 Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup entrants, most of whom have graduated from karting or promotional single-seater championships such as Formula Renault 1.6. Drivers to have risen to international fame from this championship include Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa. Featuring a carbon tub and a 195hp engine, the Formula Renault 2.0 is the world's best-selling single-seater racecar and the benchmark by which its rivals are judged.

Developed especially for the World Series, the Mégane Trophy is always a winner with the spectators. Equipped with a 340hp V6 engine, it is reserved for 35 drivers who are all equally intent on winning the Eurocup.

In addition to these prestigious international competitions, the program of World Series by Renault meetings also features action from the host country's national Formula Renault 1.6, Formula Renault 2.0 and Clio Cup series.

Entertainment for all

Even between races, there is always something happening on the track:

• exciting daily demonstration runs by the Renault F1 Team and the World Championship-winning R27;
• the Renault Heritage parades are a chance for spectators to admire the cars that have earned the brand its finest successes in F1, rallying and endurance racing;
• Renault enthusiasts are always proud to show off their collections of 4CVs, Dauphines, R8s and R5 Turbos which are one of the weekend's traditional highlights.

The paddock area is open to the public and attractions include:

• entertainment for the very young;
• a place to relax and wind down for adults;
• exhibitions of the Renault range;
• special shows staged by the World Series' partners.
